Core Keeper’s First Steam Free Weekend Since 1.0 Launch Will Run Oct. 8-12, 2026

The full game and online multiplayer will be available at no cost, with a 40% discount running through Oct. 22.

Core Keeper will give Steam players access to the full game for free from Oct. 8 through Oct. 12, 2026, in its first Steam Free Weekend since its 1.0 launch, according to the Steam announcement.

Unlike a limited demo, the free weekend includes online multiplayer. When it ends, the game and save data will remain in players’ Steam libraries, so anyone who buys the game can continue from where they left off. A 40% discount runs through Oct. 22, 2026.

There’s plenty to try in the underground. Core Keeper supports 1-8 players and features 9 biomes and 7 sub-biomes, with mining, puzzles, base building, farming, fishing, pets, and optional boss fights. Players can travel on foot or use minecarts, boats, go-karts, and rideable mounts added in September.

Combat is another path through the game, with weapons, armor, accessories, and talents to build around. Difficulty scales according to whether players go solo or team up, and combat arenas offer another place to test a setup.

Here’s the trailer for a look at the underground world awaiting new Explorers.
