Road to Vostok’s Hotfix 0.2.3.1 lets Nomads return to Area 05 after the original 100 have been killed, with replenishment limited to times when the area is safe. Developer Antti Leinonen calls it the final Build 2 hotfix in the Steam announcement for version 0.2.3.1.
The 0.2.3.0 patch added a Nomads Remaining feature. Instead of leaving Area 05 permanently empty once its original population is gone, the new system simulates more Nomads entering while the area is safe. Each refill brings 10 to 50 Nomads at a random point in a 20-to-60-minute window, and a pop-up announces when it happens.
Nomad Spot shelters also gain automatic cat feeding. A shelter with Nomads and a cat increases the cat’s health while the player is away, and the cat’s vital information now explains the feeding mechanic and shows a symbol when it is active. Version 0.2.3.0 had lowered the cat vital’s decrease speed by 25%, and this hotfix returns that rate to normal alongside the new feeding system.
Saves from 0.2.3.0 remain compatible with the hotfix. Mods converted for 0.2.3.0 should also work.
