7 Days to Die V3.4.0 EXP Adds Backpack Search and Drone Recovery
The experimental build also updates backpack-related items and fixes issues with macOS startup, drone behavior, and hotbar sales.

7 Days to Die’s V3.4.0 EXP build adds search and category filters to backpacks and containers, plus trader recovery for drones that get stuck or go missing, according to The Fun Pimps’ Steam announcement.
Players can search by item name or filter their storage by category instead of combing through every slot. The drone recovery option gives players a way to ask a trader for help when a drone disappears or gets stuck.
The update follows V3.3.0’s backpack expansion, which allows inventory capacity to reach 96 slots. V3.4.0 adjusts Night Stalker Vol. 4, Steroids, Chicken Nuggets, and the completed Fireman’s Almanac set to work with the changed capacity.
Other fixes cover multiplayer item icons, selling the 10th hotbar item, macOS startup with Easy Anti-Cheat enabled, and an error when turning in the White River quest. Vehicle inventory scrolling, drone movement, and transferring items into zombie bags and airdrops also get attention. Players can opt into the build from Steam’s Game Versions & Betas tab by selecting latest_experimental. One known issue remains: locked slots reset after the inventory closes.
