Warframe Hotfix 44.1.3 Will Cap Ammo Efficiency at 75%
The changes also standardize Riven Dispositions, curb recursive death explosions, and offer Kuva and Forma through inbox rewards.

Warframe Hotfix 44.1.3 will limit Ammo Efficiency to 75%, retire weapon-specific Riven Dispositions, and stop Elemental Ammo from repeatedly triggering death explosions. The official hotfix notes also detail inbox rewards for players and early adopters of Riven Splicers. The earlier 44.1.1 hotfix changed The Icebind’s Cryobell vote and fixed several Riven Splicing problems, including a Kuva-cost bug; it also addressed Icebind mission-progression issues.
At the new Ammo Efficiency cap, one in every four shots will consume ammunition. The limit applies to bonuses from multiple sources and covers all ammo-using equipment, including Necramechs and Amps. Effects that already grant infinite ammo remain unchanged, though their descriptions will be updated to identify them as infinite-ammo effects.
The Riven overhaul removes Dispositions and gives every Riven the same multiplier for its possible values, equivalent to the old 1.2 Disposition. Trading Riven Mods will also be available again. Across the weapon roster, values previously above or below 1.2 will move to that shared baseline.
Acid Shells and six other death-detonation effects will no longer recursively trigger when Elemental Ammo status effects cause another enemy to die. Those effects will still receive the extra damage and status effects from Elemental Ammo, but Acid Shells also loses range: its explosion radius falls from 15 meters to 10 meters.
Players who log in after the update will receive 2 Built Forma and 100,000 Kuva. That inbox is available through December 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET, and was scheduled for delivery at 3:30 p.m. ET on October 22. Players who installed a Riven Splicer in a Riven Mod before the hotfix will receive a separate inbox with 1 Riven Splicer and 100,000 Kuva. Digital Extremes says that second message requires a script, which it planned to run shortly after the hotfix launched.
Warframe Hotfix 44.1.3 Patch Notes
Ammo Efficiency
- Ammo Efficiency is now capped at 75%.
- Only 1 in 4 shots will consume ammo at the cap.
- Ammo Efficiency increases from multiple sources will only raise the stat to the cap.
- The cap applies to all equipment that uses Ammo, including Necramechs and Amps.
- Sources that intentionally gave 100% Ammo Efficiency, such as Void Relic cracking buffs, have been rephrased to indicate they give Infinite Ammo.
Ammo Efficiency Changes
- AX-52: Hip-fired shots now have +75% Ammo Efficiency, up from +60%.
- Eternal Logistics: On Void Sling, Amp Ammo Efficiency is now +75% for 8 seconds, up from +72%.
- Arcane Pistoleer: On Pistol Weak Point Kill, the chance is now 60% (10% at Unranked) for Infinite Ammo for 12 seconds. It was a 60% chance for +102% (+17% at Unranked) Ammo Efficiency for 12 seconds.

- Incarnon Evolution “Crimson Overture” (Dera and Boltor): On Kill, the effect is now +25% Ammo Efficiency for 5 seconds, stacking up to 3 times. It was +20% for 5 seconds, stacking up to 4 times. The increase to Base Damage is unchanged.
- Lyon’s “Flowing Slayer” blessing in The Descendia: Gain +75% Ammo Efficiency while Sliding or Crouching and receive -25% otherwise, down from +90% and -30%. The blessing was also fixed so it applies properly in-mission.
Recursive Death Explosions
- Fixed status effects caused by Elemental Ammo on “enemies explode on death” effects being able to retrigger the death explosion effects for Acid Shells, Amalgam Furax Body Count, Vulcan Blitz, Explosive Demise, Combustion Beam, Thermagnetic Shells, and Entropy Detonation.
- These Mods will still benefit from increased damage and status effects gained from Elemental Ammo, but will not retrigger death effects infinitely.
- Reduced Acid Shells’ explosion radius from 15m to 10m.
Riven Mods
- Removed Riven Dispositions.
- All Rivens now use the same multiplier for their possible value ranges, the equivalent of 1.2 Disposition in the old system.
- Restored the ability to trade Riven Mods.
General Additions, Changes, and Fixes
- Added the new Axi C13 Relic to mission drop tables to address the Braton Prime Receiver unintentionally being vaulted.
- The search function in the Peely Pix menu now also searches Peely Pix descriptions.
- Credit Bundles now have a multiple purchase option, including the Credit Bundles in Praghasa’s wares.
- Fixed being unable to chatlink Riven Splicers.
- Fixed the End of Mission cinematic zooming in too closely to the squad in The Icebind.
- Fixed rare cases of players not receiving the Vessel quest key upon completion of the Lua quest in the Prologue to Tau series. A small number of affected players should see the missing quest key in their inventories.
