GTA 6’s November 19 Release Fits The Game Awards 2026 Eligibility Window
Most categories require commercial availability by 9 p.m. PT on November 20, while Players' Voice entries have until November 30.

GTA 6’s current launch schedule puts it inside The Game Awards 2026 eligibility window. Rockstar’s game is scheduled for November 19, one day before the standard cutoff for games to be commercially available.
Under The Game Awards’ eligibility rules, most categories require games to be commercially available by 9 p.m. PT on Friday, November 20, 2026. Games must also be finished rather than still in Early Access. DLC and remasters can be considered across categories, while live-service games qualify if they receive consistent updates during the year. The standard cutoff has moved earlier by a day in each of the past two years, from November 22 in 2024 to November 21 in 2025.
Players’ Voice has a later cutoff. Games must ship on or before November 30, 2026, so GTA 6 meets the timing requirements for both if its release schedule holds.
The ceremony is scheduled for December 10, leaving three weeks between GTA 6’s planned launch and the show. Eligibility clears a calendar hurdle, but it does not guarantee a nomination or an award.
