Escape From Tarkov “The Labyrinth (story chapter)” Quest Guide
The Shoreline transit has two access gates, and Jaeger's keycards come only after a wait.
Getting into The Labyrinth chapter means clearing two separate access gates. The transit sits in the Health Resort west wing basement on Shoreline and requires the Knossos LLC facility key. Entering the facility through that transit requires a Labrys access keycard, which Jaeger sends after a 12 to 24 hour wait.
Requirements and objectives
The opening objective is to ask traders about the underground facility. Jaeger is your contact, while asking Therapist how to access the facility is optional. Another objective asks you to wait for Jaeger to gather the keycards.
The chapter then has you investigate what happened to the BEAR squad, listen to a scientist’s audio tape and hand it to Jaeger, and read a research report. Several squad-investigation tasks and the report’s location-and-pickup objective are marked optional, even though listening to the tape and reading the report are separate objectives.

How to complete The Labyrinth
Get the keycards from Jaeger
Ask Jaeger about the underground facility, then wait 12 to 24 hours before returning to him. Finish the conversation about The Labyrinth and he sends two Labrys access keycards through in-game mail. A barter for additional cards is also available.
Enter from Shoreline
Go to the basement of the Health Resort west wing on Shoreline. Use the Knossos LLC facility key for the transit, then use a Labrys access keycard to enter The Labyrinth.
Investigate the BEAR squad
Follow these optional leads to investigate the BEAR squad:
- Find Leshy’s orders. Look in the food container on the ground in front of spawn chamber 2.
- Investigate the regroup spot at Item 1156. It is in the prototype weapon area.
- Locate the squad leader and diary. The leader is in the torture room, with Leshy’s diary beside him.
- Investigate the five lab staff bodies. Collect one note beside each body. The fourth note, Assistant’s notes on Group #12, requires the Observation room key.
Open the observation room and get the tape
Find the observation room southwest of the central assembly/prototype-weapon area, immediately north of the torture room and Ariadne’s Path side of the facility. Look for the barred metal door in the brick archway and unlock it with the Observation room key. If you need the key, search the hands of the lab technicians; 1 of the 5 technician bodies carries it each raid.
Inside, find the scientist slumped beneath the chair. Pick up the Deceased scientist’s audio tape from the ground under his right hand and listen to it. Then return to Jaeger and hand it over through the trader screen.
Find and read the research report
On Shoreline, search the drain-pipe outlet beside the pier. The research report is on the south side of the pipe near the water. Pick it up and read it to finish the report objective.
