Rayman Legends Retold will arrive on PS5 and PS5 Pro on December 3, 2026, with a free Astro Bot costume exclusive to PS5. The PlayStation Blog announcement says players can claim the outfit on their first visit to Victor Velour, the game’s resident tailor.
Ubisoft Milan, Ubisoft Montpellier, and Team Asobi worked together on the costume. Lead Character Artist Quentin Chaillet described the challenge of fitting Astro Bot’s glossy, futuristic look into Rayman’s handcrafted visual style. The design combines Astro Bot’s smooth white surfaces, reflective metal, and glowing blue accents with Rayman’s prominent nose, floating hands and feet, and oversized shoes.

Art and World Director Guillaume Arvieu pointed to the pair’s colorful fantasy worlds, fluid movement, varied interactions, and shared focus on discovery. Rayman also appeared as a cameo in Astro Bot (2024), giving the crossover a nod in both directions.
The remake will also feature updated visuals, a retold story, a new realm, musical stages, and solo play or couch co-op for up to four players.
