Escape From Tarkov “Establish Contact” Quest Guide
Meet the +4 Scav karma requirement, then reach 5.0 standing with Fence.
Establish Contact is Fence’s reputation task. You need at least +4 Scav karma to unlock it, then must raise your standing with Fence to 5.0. There is no item to retrieve or location to mark. Your Fence reputation is the progress that matters.

How to increase Fence standing
Successful Scav extractions or transits award +0.01 reputation. Completing a Scav task as a Scav can award between +0.01 and +0.05. These give you ways to build standing without turning the task into a hunt for other Scavs.
Vehicle extractions taken as a PMC also contribute. The first use gives +0.2, with later uses on the same map giving less. Each location tracks its own usage count. The listed calculation divides 0.2 by the number of uses, so the fourth use on a map gives +0.05 rather than another +0.2.
Watch the standing shown at Fence as you work toward the target. Killing a friendly player Scav during a Scav raid carries a -0.1 penalty, and other attacks on friendly Scavs or bosses can also cost reputation. Avoid undoing your progress by shooting a target you have not identified.
Completing Establish Contact
Once your Fence standing reaches 5.0, return to the task and complete it. Establish Contact leads to Friend Among Strangers.

- +0.02 Fence reputation
- 600 Euros, increased to 630 with Intelligence Center level 1 or 690 with level 2
