Pokémon GO’s global Wild Area will feature Gigantamax Duraludon in six-star Max Battles, while ticket holders at Sendai and Mexico City can encounter it through event-exclusive Special Research. Completing the research rewards an encounter with Duraludon carrying a Location Background.
The in-person Sendai event and Mexico City event are scheduled for Nov. 6-8. The global weekend will follow on Nov. 14-15. A community-made Wild Area graphic by FlareBlaze also identifies Duraludon as a Tier 6 Max Battle and lists G-Max Depletion beside it. The graphic is not an official event announcement.

City events offer Location Background rewards
Ticket holders who take part in raids and Max Battles at the in-person events will have a chance to receive a Location Background after catching a Pokémon. The background appears on its summary page and identifies where it was caught. Remote raids do not qualify for this reward.
Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta will appear in raids during the city events. Defeating either one awards its matching Crowned Sword Energy or Crowned Shield Energy.
Global raids bring a separate background pool
Trainers who catch Pokémon after Global event raids and Max Battles will have a chance to receive a Special Background. Eligible Pokémon include Gigantamax Duraludon, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Dynamax Dialga, Dynamax Palkia, and Machamp wearing a modern jacket. These backgrounds mark when the Pokémon was caught.
Kyurem raids offer Fusion Energy
Black Kyurem and White Kyurem raids will award Fusion Energy, which Trainers can use to fuse Kyurem into its more powerful forms. The official Wild Area: Global details also say Kyurem caught in raids may know the Charged Attack Glaciate.
The global raid lineup will change by day. Zekrom and White Kyurem will appear on Saturday, Nov. 14, followed by Reshiram and Black Kyurem on Sunday, Nov. 15.
Which would you prioritize first, a Kyurem fusion or a Background Duraludon? Follow the changing raid lineup and background rewards on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
