PAYDAY 3 Hotfix 3.9.2 Fixes Cloaker Spawns, Xbox Gets It Later Today

The update is live on Steam, Epic Games Store, and PS5, while Xbox and Microsoft Store players are scheduled to receive it later on October 1.

PAYDAY 3 Update 3.9.2 is live on Steam, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5. Xbox and Microsoft Store players are scheduled to receive the hotfix later on October 1.

In its official Steam changelog, Starbreeze says the hotfix addresses issues tied to Updates 3.9 and 3.9.1. It follows the Update 3.9 anniversary patch and the 3.9.1 hotfix, which addressed Crimebond problems and 10 crash scenarios.

The gameplay changes focus on Cloakers and other special enemies. Cloakers and Techies will spawn less often, while Tasers and Grenadiers will no longer respawn immediately after dying to damage against their weak points. The update also fixes Techies failing to spawn on Normal difficulty.

Team AI will now target Cloakers attacking a downed player, and a Cloaker will no longer kick a player immediately after Team AI revives them. Players can stun a charging Cloaker with a melee attack again, and ranged weapons have a higher chance to stun one.

The hotfix also fixes two crash conditions, one involving a throwable destroyed while its owner is in custody or offline, and another involving shots fired at a Zapper’s Proxy Mine. Japanese players should see correct in-game store prices, a crash that could follow saving a loadout is fixed, and players using legacy controller mappings can lockpick again.
