PAYDAY 3 Hotfix 3.9.1 Fixes Crimebond Bugs and 10 Crash Issues

The update is live on Steam, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5, while Xbox and Microsoft Store players will receive it later on September 24.

PAYDAY 3 Update 3.9.1 is now live on Steam, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5, bringing fixes for Brute Force Crimebond rewards, stolen saws, and several crash scenarios. Xbox and Microsoft Store players will receive the hotfix later on September 24. The hotfix follows the PAYDAY 3 Update 3.9 anniversary update, which introduced Campaign Mode, weapon perks, the Shooting Range, and broader combat changes to PAYDAY 3.

The Crimebond fixes cover a few problems that could make Renown rewards and stolen skills feel less useful than intended. Players can now equip perks on stolen saws without owning the Brute Force DLC, while players at the Renown cap of 1600 can continue earning Renown after stealing from the Crimebond. Controller users should also stop being sent to the store or having selected skills reset after unequipping a stolen skill.

Gameplay stability receives the largest batch of changes. The hotfix addresses crashes tied to the OVE9050 Saw, the Sociopath bat, live grenades in the Shooting Range, Ammo Bags, heist restart votes, Shield enemy spawns, interrupted reloads, weapon cosmetics, critical hits, and a specific saw interaction involving the Grave Robber weapon perk.

The official Steam changelog also warns that installed mods may cause problems after the update. Removing mods is recommended when troubleshooting, and players with an unmodded installation can verify the game files through Steam’s Properties menu and the LOCAL FILES tab.
