World of Warcraft: Forever Survey Floats 11 Class Ideas, Including Bard and Witch

A new World of Warcraft: Forever survey asks players to weigh in on 11 possible class options, from Bard and Witch to Demon Hunter and Death Knight. It is a measure of interest, not confirmation that any of these classes will make it into the game.

The survey appeared in the Battle.net launcher last week. Images of the questionnaire circulated online despite a request that participants not share its contents publicly.

The list includes Monk, Demon Hunter, Tinker, Illusionist, San’layn, Necromancer, Rune Knight, Bard, Warden, Witch, and Death Knight. Each outline gives a group role, gear type, and sample abilities, offering more detail than a simple list of names.

The Witch, for example, is described as a cloth-wearing ranged damage dealer with a support role. One ability would let the Witch place a cauldron that buffs players who drink from it, while another, Voidbolt, would drain the caster’s own life. The Tinker concept puts its character inside a mech, while Bards would use songs to heal and buff allies.

Some options, including Monk and Demon Hunter, already appear in other versions of World of Warcraft. The survey describes differences for those classes in Forever, including abilities they would not have. It also says Demon Hunters would start at level 1 rather than level 8, their starting level in the Midnight expansion.

World of Warcraft: Forever remains scheduled to launch on Nov. 4, 2026, alongside WoW Classic and Vanilla. The survey does not say whether the proposed classes will arrive at launch, later on, or at all.

Some players have also raised concerns that new classes could be more powerful than existing ones and undermine the game’s throwback feel. That is a community concern, not evidence of a settled class plan or a balance problem.
