Pokemon GO has been released 5 months ago and was not available in India. From tomorrow December 14th Reliance Jio and Niantic finally decided to make partnership and make this game available for India too.
The game will be available for both Android and iOS from tomorrow.
Here is what the CEO John Hanke the Niantic’s CEO said “We are delighted to partner with Jio to launch Pokémon Go in India. It’s exciting to see Pokémon fans in India step out and explore their neighborhoods in search of Pokémon and Jio’s disruptive high-speed 4G LTE Network will be an excellent way to experience the game”.
Free data will be available for the users from India until March 31st, 2017. “With over 500 million downloads globally, we are excited to launch Pokémon Go officially in India on the Reliance Jio network. Our partnership with Niantic not only brings access to the Pokémon Go app. Also, opens the door to more opportunities for our customers to enjoy content on Jio’s one-of-a-kind mobile broadband network”. This was stated by the president of Reliance Jio, Mr.Mathew Oommen.
The guys from Reliance Jio will also provide exclusive Pokemon GO channels for chat in order to help players to keep in touch. The other partner Reliance Digital will be responsible for the Gyms and PokeStops.
