Marvel’s Wolverine reached 20 FPS in a new KyTyPS5 capture, but that was a peak rather than a steady rate. The game ran at 6-9 FPS through most areas, according to footage from YouTube creator Unreal Gaming PC.
The capture shows the emulator rendering gameplay rather than stopping at a boot screen or basic graphics. That is a clear step in what the footage demonstrates, but the frame rate remains far too low for normal play.
Unreal Gaming PC used an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, and Senaxx’s KyTyPS5 build bb8f49c, which is available on GitHub. The game version shown in the video was v1.001.005. A later PS5 hotfix, version 1.001.006, added options to hide collectible guidance.
An overlay indicated the game could allocate the RTX 4080’s full VRAM, but the footage does not establish what caused the performance drops. A CPU bottleneck or VRAM pressure could be factors. The rate also varied by area, so the 20 FPS high point does not represent how the game ran throughout the capture.
