Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance Will Let Hunters Change Their Look as Often as They Want for Free
Players will receive 10 Character Edit Vouchers and 10 Palico Edit Vouchers on Dec. 3, 2026, while eligible paid voucher buyers will receive the Special Thank-You Pendant Set.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance will let hunters change their appearance as often as they want without spending a Character Edit Voucher. Capcom’s official character-edit information page confirms the change, and a Steam announcement says the Ver. 2 update will make editing free and unlimited in the base game as well when Ascendance arrives in 2027.
Capcom: With the launch of Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, players will be able to re-edit the appearance of their hunter as many times as they like, free of charge and without the need for a Character Edit Voucher.

Capcom has not announced a specific release date for Ascendance, but the expansion is currently planned for 2027. Players will receive a temporary supply of vouchers before the free editing changes arrive.
December 3 ends new voucher distribution
Voucher distribution will end on all platforms on Thursday, December 3, 2026. Any vouchers players already own will remain usable until Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance launches in 2027.
After applying the update released on December 3, players will automatically receive 10 Character Edit Vouchers and 10 Palico Edit Vouchers. The free vouchers will be added to each player’s existing voucher balance and can be used until the character edit changes arrive with Ascendance.

Paid voucher buyers receive two pendants
Players who previously paid for any of the three voucher packs will also receive the Special Thank-You Pendant Set automatically after applying the December 3 update. The set contains Pendant: Heavenly Hog and Pendant: Beelzeboar.
The eligible paid products are the Character & Palico Edit Voucher: Three-Voucher Pack, Character Edit Voucher: Three-Voucher Pack, and Palico Edit Voucher: Three-Voucher Pack. Capcom noted that the two pendants may become available separately at a later date.
The expansion is also expected to add a new story, a hunting region, new monsters, and the Boost Bracer system, giving hunters more to look forward to beyond the appearance changes.
