No Man’s Sky Expedition Twenty-Three Will Bring 10th Anniversary Rewards on September 16

Our Journey Continues will run for approximately six weeks and let players redeem its rewards across every save.

No Man’s Sky will mark its 10th anniversary with Expedition Twenty-Three, Our Journey Continues, which will begin on September 16 and run for approximately six weeks. Hello Games detailed the event in its September 16 announcement, describing an expedition built around the game’s history, nostalgia, and 41 named updates.

Travellers can expect callbacks to earlier versions of No Man’s Sky, along with easter eggs for long-time players to find. The expedition also includes developer commentary and a set of rewards inspired by the game’s development history.

The reward lineup starts with nine framed artworks based on cover art from major No Man’s Sky updates. Players can also earn a cockpit bobblehead based on an old test asset that was never released, but was discovered by modders years ago.

Two special items reach further into the game’s early history. The Starbound v0.27 Multi-Tool was redesigned from pre-release concept art, while the golden Rasamama S36 recreates the original starter ship from the game’s launch.

A vintage Sentinel Interceptor joins the ship rewards, reconstructed from models shown in pre-release footage. The final reward is a diplodocus companion based on the original diplo models, with Hello Games retexturing, re-rigging, and re-animating the creature for the expedition.

How to start Our Journey Continues

Players can begin the expedition from the Expedition Terminus aboard the Space Anomaly or start from a fresh save. That new save may later be converted into a Normal Mode save, giving Travellers a way to carry the playthrough forward after the expedition ends.

Rewards earned by completing the expedition phases can be redeemed across all save games through the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion aboard the Space Anomaly.
