War Thunder Servers May Be Unavailable on September 16 for Sky Odyssey’s Release

War Thunder players may lose access to the game on September 16, 2026, when Sky Odyssey is scheduled to release. Gaijin Entertainment’s Steam notice places the possible server interruption from 08:00 GMT as the major update goes live.
No end time was provided for the technical work, so the game’s availability may vary while the update is released and prepared for play. The full major announcement and changelog will be published once the update is ready.
Gaijin had previously named Sky Odyssey as War Thunder‘s next major update without giving a launch date. The earlier Sky Odyssey reveal now has a firm release day, although the complete feature list will not arrive until launch.
