Conan Exiles Enhanced Update 2.2.0 Is Live With Unreal Engine 5.8.2 and Iris Networking
The release also begins a rotating Bazaar lineup featuring 5 named bundles across armor, weapons, and decorations.
Conan Exiles Enhanced Update 2.2.0 is live as of September 15, bringing Unreal Engine 5.8.2, a new networking system, fresh graphics settings, and a rotating selection of Bazaar bundles.
Funcom detailed the release in its September 15 announcement. The most important change sits behind the scenes, where the game has moved away from its previous UE4 networking model and completed its transition to Iris, Epic’s networking replication system.
Iris reduces the work required to update busy servers
Iris changes how Conan Exiles handles replicated data. Instead of repeatedly processing every replicated actor for every client, the system can focus on information that needs to be sent, which lowers the server cost of managing large numbers of players and placeables.
Large-scale construction will still put limits on server performance, especially in a game that gives players so much freedom to build. Funcom said its testing found Iris delivered the biggest server performance improvement the team has made so far, though the new system does not remove every limitation.
Update 2.2.0 adds new graphics settings and broader fixes
Unreal Engine 5.8.2 arrives alongside new Enhanced graphics settings. The update also includes performance, stability, modding, gameplay, and visual fixes, with the complete 2.2.0 patch notes covering the full list of changes.
5 Bazaar bundles begin rotating on September 15
The Bazaar’s new rotation begins on September 15 with armor, weapons, and decorations arriving across 5 named bundles. The lineup includes The Living Shadow, Sentinel of the Triumverate, Breaker of Wills, Priestking’s Sacristy, and Spyrian Trappings.
Because the items will appear on a rotating schedule, the full selection will not necessarily be available at once. Players interested in a specific set will need to keep an eye on the Bazaar as the lineup changes.
