Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Version Will Launch Later in 2026

Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PS5 later in 2026, giving PlayStation players a confirmed release window after months of uncertainty surrounding the port.

As recently as Aug. 27, the PS5 version had no announced date, with 2026 remaining the only official target. That has now narrowed to the later part of the year.

At the end of a Series 5 blog post focused on British Automotive, the developers wrote, “If you’re planning your trip to Discover Japan on PlayStation 5, stay tuned! Forza Horizon 6 will be releasing on PS5 later this year.”

The PlayStation Store page is already live, allowing players to add the game to their wishlists and receive a notification when it becomes available. An exact PS5 launch day has not been announced, so the remaining months of 2026 are still the port’s release window.

Forza Horizon 6 launched on Xbox consoles and PC on May 19, 2026. The PS5 edition will arrive after those versions, bringing the Japan-based Horizon Festival to Sony’s console.

Drift Attack arrives with the British Automotive update

Before the PS5 edition arrives, the British Automotive update will launch on Thursday, September 10. It will introduce Drift Attack as a permanent race type.

Built around the idea behind Drift Zones, Drift Attack sends drivers through specific points on a track where controlled slides earn extra points. The event type gives players another way to compete for high scores while putting the game’s drifting mechanics at the center of each race.

Players can also unlock the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition through Drift Attack.

A Horizon Stadium takeover adds 3 cars to the Festival Playlist, including the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior, and 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR.
