GTA 6’s New PS5 Screenshots Put Its Dense World on Display

Rockstar added the images after the August 27 Extended Look, which was captured entirely on a base PS5.

Grand Theft Auto VI has received a fresh batch of PS5 screenshots following Rockstar’s August 27 extended presentation, giving players more chances to inspect the game’s packed environments, character detail, and busy city scenes.

Some of the images appeared among influencers before the broader release, so parts of the batch may already look familiar. The iguana screenshot, in particular, had circulated ahead of the new collection appearing on Rockstar’s official website.

The timing follows Rockstar’s August 27 extended presentation, which provided the first long look at the upcoming game. Rather than showing only a few carefully selected moments, the new screenshots add more small details for fans to study across the game’s scenes.

One frame places a tattooed woman across the front of a convertible while a man drives through a skyline filled with high-rise buildings. Tattoos, skin shading, reflections, interior materials, and the crowded skyline all stand out in the new imagery, giving the screenshots a closer look at details that can be easy to miss during a fast-moving presentation.

Rockstar said the Extended Look was captured entirely on a base PS5. Individual promotional stills may have received touch-ups, so they should not be treated as untouched gameplay frames. The presentation still gives console players useful context, since it was not built around a higher-end version of the hardware.

Even with that context, the images look packed with busy streets, expressive characters, and layers of activity in the background. Grand Theft Auto VI is clearly leaning into visual density, and this latest batch gives that approach more room to show itself than a single trailer could.
