DayZ is part of Steam’s PvE Survival Crafting Fest, giving survivors a chance to pick up the base game for up to 50% off. Bohemia Interactive shared the sale details in its official Steam announcement, though no end date was provided.
The promotion covers the game set across post-Soviet Chernarus and Livonia, where an unknown virus has turned most of the population into infected. Food, equipment, and other resources are scarce, and hostile survivors can be just as dangerous as anything else in the wilderness.
Frostline and 2 DayZ bundle editions are discounted
DayZ is not the only option on sale. The winter expansion DayZ Frostline is 30% off, giving players a cheaper way to head to the frozen island of Sakhal.
The Deluxe Edition is discounted by up to 50%, while the Cool Edition is up to 40% off. Both bundles include the base game and Livonia, the official soundtrack, themed wallpapers, the Chernarus and Livonia digital map, and the 25th Anniversary of Bohemia Interactive LIVE map. The Cool Edition also includes DayZ Frostline.

DayZ Badlands will arrive on October 15
The next major expansion is still ahead. DayZ Badlands will come to all platforms on October 15, 2026, and its Steam page is available for wishlisting.
The Gamescom showcase gave players another look at the expansion, which will also bring changes, improvements, and new content to the base game. Update 1.29, Road to Badlands, already offered an early sample of selected Badlands assets and content, as we covered in our Update 1.29 coverage. Bohemia Interactive also said Update 1.30 is in development.
