Militsioner will bring a very large problem to XBOX Game Pass in 2027. The surreal immersive sim is still in development, and its setup is wonderfully strange: you have been arrested despite being innocent, then must escape a mysterious town watched over by a Colossal Policeman. An Xbox Wire announcement confirmed that the game will come to XBOX Series X|S, XBOX on PC, and Game Pass.
The policeman is not just a distant background threat. He monitors the town and your movements, turning every attempt at freedom into a contest of outsmarting, outwitting, or outrunning the law. The town remembers your actions, and the consequences can be severe when the law is quite literally large enough to watch over everything.
Several ways to leave town
There will not be one prescribed escape route. Players can help regular-sized townsfolk or use their needs to gain an advantage, with different choices leading to different outcomes. The game also allows for a criminal approach, including theft and breaking and entering, or a more compassionate path.
Then there is the option that sounds like it escaped from a fever dream. You can flirt with the Colossal Policeman, collect flowers, and possibly work your way toward a date instead of simply hiding from him. It is a very unusual way to handle an arrest, but it may be worth trying when the alternative is getting caught.
Militsioner will test how far you are willing to go to get out of town. The path you choose will determine how the town remembers you, while every decision adds another consequence to your escape attempt.
The game will arrive in 2027 for XBOX Series X|S, XBOX on PC, and Game Pass. XBOX Play Anywhere will let players access it on both console and PC at no additional cost.
