Bymas Claims He Is Missing Tens of Thousands From Monte in Pay and Prizes

The former player also says his share of Monte's IEM Cologne Major sticker revenue remains unpaid.

Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras has accused his former organization, Monte, of leaving him with unpaid compensation worth tens of thousands of dollars. Monte disputes his account and has offered a different explanation for the payment delays and the players’ departures.

Bymas left Monte after a year with the organization in early July and joined Luminosity. The dispute became public on August 26, after Monte CEO Dmytro Vovk released a video criticizing Bymas, Aurélien “afro” Drapier, Oscar “AZUWU” Bell, and their agents over the trio’s move.

Monte criticized the move to Luminosity

Vovk suggested that the players had already signed with Luminosity before the IEM Cologne Major while Monte was still negotiating contract extensions with them. He also said the organization and teammate Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen were not told about the agreements at the time.

Monte’s video did not address Bymas’ claims about unpaid compensation. The organization instead replied directly to his post, writing: “Good text. You can tell it was approved by the agent. A two-week delay in salary payments is, of course, incredibly critical and painful.”

Bymas described payment delays as a recurring problem

Bymas said the unpaid amount includes missed salary, tournament prize money, bonus payments, and his share of Monte’s IEM Cologne Major sticker revenue. He said he had not received any tournament prize money since 2025, while his share of the ongoing sticker sale also remains outstanding.

The Lithuanian player further claimed that several former Monte players and the team’s coach are still owed money as well. He described payment delays as “a recurring issue” that never improved, saying the pattern eventually damaged the trust between the players and the organization.

“Re-signing would have meant committing to an organization we no longer trusted to consistently meet its financial obligations, with no guarantee that the same roster would even stay together long term,” Bymas said.

Monte rejects the accusation

Monte rejected Bymas’ account of the amount owed and said players who violated their contracts had been fined. The organization also disputed Bymas’ position on sticker revenue, arguing that the new sticker system raised a separate question over which side owed money.

Monte acknowledged that payment delays had occurred, but attributed them to transfer payments and sponsorship payments rather than the organization itself. The team said everyone had been informed about the situation and that none of the players had personally told Vovk they were unhappy or had complaints.

The public exchange now includes two separate disputes: Monte’s criticism of how the players moved to Luminosity and Bymas’ allegations that compensation from his time with Monte remains unpaid.
