Apex Legends’ August 26 Update Addresses Octane’s Full Heal and 3 More Issues
The fixes also cover Battle Royale action lockouts, Gibraltar's perk interaction, and movement problems after reconnecting.

A new August 26 Steam update for Apex Legends outlines 4 fixes across character abilities, Battle Royale gameplay, movement, and reconnection behavior. Octane’s passive is working toward its intended full-health restoration again, while several less common problems have also been addressed.
Octane players should see the most direct gameplay change. His passive once again restores him to full health as intended, correcting a problem that had reduced the ability’s expected effect.
Another fix targets a rare Battle Royale lockout that could leave players with almost no usable actions. The update also removes an unintended speed boost affecting Gibraltar when the Fast Shotties perk was combined with the Corrupted Stock.
Reconnects were the focus of the final fix. Players could sometimes return to a match with rubberbanding, jumpy behavior, or jittery movement. The update addresses each of those movement problems without changing the broader gameplay systems described in the notes.
This maintenance pass follows the game’s August 11 update, which corrected issues involving Mythic CAR reload animations, Hemlok Breach AR recoil, the World’s Edge minimap, Lifeline’s Tactical audio, and Bloodhound’s Ultimate charge after respawning.
