Nintendo has announced two Nintendo Switch 2 bundles for fall, but neither will be available before the console’s U.S. price rises on September 1. A Mario Kart World package will arrive in late September for $549.99, followed by a Switch Sports Resort bundle on October 22 for $529.99. For anyone planning to buy the system this year, the current $449.99 price is still the better starting point.
Nintendo detailed the packages in a Business Wire announcement. Both bundles will include the console, the game, and a code for 90 days of an Individual Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Nintendo’s membership page lists that 90-day value at $7.99.
What the 2 Switch 2 bundles will include
September 1 marks the standalone console price increase, while the Mario Kart World package is scheduled to reach stores in late September. The bundle originally launched in June 2025 at $499.99, making its return at $549.99 a $50 increase. Even after assigning the included 90-day membership its listed value, the new package costs about $42 more than it did at launch.
The Mario Kart World bundle will pair the console with Nintendo’s open-wheel chaos machine. Its $549.99 price will be $50 above the console’s post-increase standalone cost, but the included game and subscription bring the package’s overall value below buying each part separately after September 1.
The Switch Sports Resort package will follow on October 22 at $529.99. It includes a digital copy of the game, which is priced at $49.99 separately, giving buyers another option if virtual sports are more appealing than racing around with Mario and friends.
Both packages are also planned for the UK and Europe in September. Those regional versions will not have a user-replaceable battery, and Nintendo has not provided a specific launch date for either market in the available details.
After September 1, the standalone Nintendo Switch 2 will cost $499.99. At those prices, the new bundles will save buyers $37.98 with Mario Kart World or $27.98 with Switch Sports Resort, depending on the package.
Buying before September 1 is still the better deal
The math looks much friendlier before the increase. A Switch 2 at $449.99 plus Mario Kart World at $79 comes to $528.99. Adding the 90-day subscription brings the total to $536.98, which remains below the later Mario Kart World bundle’s $549.99 price.
That makes the upcoming packages useful for buyers who miss the current price, especially since they will still include a game and Nintendo Switch Online access. They do not, however, make waiting a smart move for anyone who can purchase the console before September 1. The future bundles offer convenience, but the present console price leaves more money in your wallet.
