Overwatch 2’s August 19 Patch Wipes Replay Codes and Re-Enables Eichenwalde

The required client update also fixes Genji's Mythic voice lines and several Season 4 Battle Pass reward issues.

Blizzard’s August 19 Overwatch patch notes cover a required client update that wipes replay codes. The patch also fixes Eichenwalde and returns the map to the competitive rotation, while addressing issues with Genji’s Mythic voice lines and Season 4 reward progression.

What the August 19 patch changes

Players must update the game client for this patch, and existing replay codes have been wiped. The Eichenwalde fix is the most visible gameplay change, since the map is now available in competitive rotation again.

Season 4’s Battle Pass receives two progression fixes. Banked tier skips earned before the season began were not applying correctly, while unclaimed items from earlier seasons were not being granted. The patch addresses both problems. Genji’s Mythic voice lines also received a fix for an issue that stopped them from playing.

These Season 4-related fixes follow the broader August 11 Season 4 update, which added the season’s new systems and content.
