Apex Legends Turns Wildcard Into a God-Powered Hunt Until September 8
The event adds six EVO-enhancing Wild Cards, a Gibraltar Prestige Skin, 24 cosmetics, and a fresh Wildcard map rotation.

Apex Legends™‘ Ascended Hunt Event is running from August 18 through September 8, 2026, giving Wildcard matches a god-themed power system and a fresh batch of event rewards. The full event breakdown appears in the game’s Steam announcement.
Players can gain supernatural speed, steal health from enemies, and hit harder as their power grows through combat. Marks earned during the event can also be exchanged for limited-time items, including Gibraltar’s golden Prestige Skin, “Apex Bruddah.”
Wildcard gets six ways to power up
When dropping into Wildcard, players choose an EVO Enhancing Wild Card and level it up by collecting EVO. Each option supports a different style of play:
- EVO Enhancing Hipfire: Tightens hipfire spread.
- EVO Enhancing Crits: Raises critical-hit chance.
- EVO Enhancing Shield Regen: Boosts shield regeneration.
- EVO Enhancing Lifesteal: Increases lifesteal percentage.
- EVO Enhancing Mantle Boosts: Launches players higher and farther when using Mantle Boost.
- EVO Enhancing Slide Boosts: Makes slides longer and faster.
More Wild Card slots become available as a match progresses. Players who survive longer can stack and level up additional bonuses before the final circle.
Wildcard’s rotation also changes for the event, with matches taking place on Kings Canyon, E-District, and Broken Moon. The mode remains the main battleground for the event after the recent Marked update, though Ascended Hunt puts more focus on building power during each match.
Gibraltar leads the Ascended Hunt rewards
Gibraltar’s Apex Bruddah Prestige Skin uses golden armor and an elemental fire design. The cosmetic also includes a custom Finisher and a unique Dive Trail, giving the Legend a suitably fiery entrance and finish.
The event collection adds 24 cosmetics, including Legendary skins for Valkyrie, Conduit, Wraith, Alter, Lifeline, and Horizon. Weapon cosmetics cover the R-301, Havoc, Alternator, L-STAR, Bocek, and 30-30 Repeater.
These items are available through the Ascended Hunt Collection in the Store tab or as possible drops from Event Packs during the event period. Marks can instead be spent in the Ascended Hunt Reward Shop on an Epic Mad Maggie Skin, a new Banner Frame, and additional Event Packs.
