Icarus Week 245 Introduces Tusker Breeding and Seven Phenotypes
Prospectors can use Tusker Serum to breed healthy adults, while a Tier 3 Metal Weapon Rack is planned for next week.

Icarus Week 245 expands the game’s animal husbandry system with breedable Tuskers and seven phenotype variations to find, collect, and pass down. RocketWerkz detailed the changes in its Week 245 Steam announcement.
Tuskers are native to Icarus’ cold biomes, but they now offer more than transportation. Players can craft Tusker Serum at the Ranching Station, use it on two healthy adult Tuskers, and begin raising a new generation for their herd.

The update brings seven distinct phenotypes, including one legendary variation. Six of the new phenotypes can be found in the wild or obtained through breeding, giving players room to pursue different looks for their animals. Whether the goal is a fierce-looking mount or a softer companion, the new system gives Tusker owners more control over their herds.

Mission fixes and other Week 245 changes
Week 245 also addresses several mission problems. Olympus scan missions should no longer become impossible when players pick up the Radar too early, while Accumulation now provides clearer equipment requirements, map markers, hints, and location information. The Styx Highrise construction mission accepts both Wall and Ceiling Bunker Lights.
Projectile Damage and Extended Ammo attachments now unlock through Ranged Weapons as intended. Livewire search areas and minimap icons return after reconnecting, and the travel areas at Location 2 are larger to prevent players from bypassing them. The Livewire changes build on the earlier Livewire mission rework.
For base builders, RocketWerkz previewed the Tier 3 Metal Weapon Rack. The rack is planned for next week and will provide another way to store and display prized weapons while matching a base’s design.
