EYEBALLERS Win the Decider to Reach the Esports World Cup Open Round of 16

The Swedish team recovered from a 19-17 overtime loss on Mirage by winning Ancient 13-7 and Inferno 13-6.

EYEBALLERS reached the Round of 16 at the Esports World Cup 2026 Open Qualifier after defeating SINNERS 2-1 in the Round of 32. The series took place at the $100k LAN in Paris.

Mirage was a marathon from the opening round to the final overtime exchange. SINNERS edged it 19-17, but EYEBALLERS answered with a 13-7 win on Ancient before closing the match 13-6 on Inferno.

The veto produced a clear path to the decider. SINNERS banned Anubis, selected Mirage, and banned Cache. EYEBALLERS removed Dust2 and Nuke while choosing Ancient, leaving Inferno as the final map.

EYEBALLERS turned the series around on Ancient

MoDo delivered SINNERS’ strongest performance across the match, finishing with 68 kills, 91.7 ADR, and a 1.28 rating. EYEBALLERS still had the highest-rated player in maxster, who ended the series at 1.37 after a 65-45 kill-death line and 85.6 ADR.

Maxster was especially dangerous on Ancient, where he posted 24 kills, 12 deaths, 117.0 ADR, and a 2.07 rating in the 13-7 victory. On Inferno, KRIMZ led the way with a 16-10 scoreline and a 1.56 rating as EYEBALLERS secured the deciding map.

The August 9 VRS projection kept SINNERS at No. 54 with 1,258 points despite a projected six-point loss. EYEBALLERS moved from No. 30 to No. 28 in the projection, gaining 34 points to reach 1,501.
