Halo: Campaign Evolved is available now, bringing Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign to Xbox Series X|S, PC, cloud, Steam, and PlayStation 5. Xbox announced the July 28, 2026 launch through Xbox Wire.
Halo Studios rebuilt the original campaign with updated visuals while keeping its core story and action intact. The remake also adds features from later entries in the series, including sprinting, hijacking, new Skulls, and control options designed for current controllers.
A larger campaign for Master Chief
The package includes the original campaign’s 10 missions alongside Operation: METEORITE, a three-mission story set about one year before the main events. The new arc follows Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson through a separate combat operation with new locations and encounters.
Co-op has also been expanded to support up to four players. Cross-play and cross-progression connect Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Steam, and PlayStation 5, while Xbox Play Anywhere applies across the Xbox and Windows versions.
