iRacing’s Season 3 Patch 3 Hotfix 2 Targets Restart Problems and More
The July 17 hotfix corrected caution-state behavior, adjusted the Track Map widget, updated the Japanese spotter pack, and added a Dallara IR18 final-drive option.

iRacing released 2026 Season 3 Patch 3 Hotfix 2 on July 17, 2026. Version 2026.07.17.01 addressed a critical race-control problem that could force the entire field to pass the pace car during delayed restarts.
The unplanned downtime also included a Track Map zoom adjustment, the latest Japanese spotter pack updates, and a new final-drive gearing option for the Dallara IR18. The release followed Hotfix 1’s Acura NSX GT3 EVO 22 fix from earlier in July.
iRacing’s Steam announcement described the downtime as unplanned and necessary to correct the issue. The restart fix should prevent caution states from transitioning incorrectly, while the Dallara IR18 change gives superspeedway drivers another gearing setup to use.
