The First Descendant starts its 2nd anniversary run with Patch 1.3.33

The First Descendant Patch 1.3.33 went live on July 2 at 00:00 PDT on Steam, Xbox, and PS5, and the update asks players to reconnect for smoother gameplay.

This patch leans hard into the game’s 2nd anniversary with new event challenges, a dice event, token and memento shops, and a research acceleration week. It follows patch 1.3.32, which focused on Shape Stabilizers, operation access, and a longer fix list.

Shop updates also bring in a fresh wave of bundles, skins, emotes, lounge figurines, and hair dyes, while the bug-fix pass covers Descendants, weapons, content tracking, and UI issues.

Overview
The main focus here is the 2nd anniversary event slate, but Patch 1.3.33 also adds new store items and clears out a handful of gameplay and interface bugs.

Bug Fixes

(1) Descendants

• Fixed an issue where the summary description of the “Snare Hunter” Skill included in Ines’ Transcendent Module “Plasma Bullet” was displayed incorrectly.
• Fixed an issue where the reactivation of Active Camouflage while using Ultimate Sharen’s Transcendent Module “Ambushed” was working incorrectly.

(2) Equipment & Modules

• Fixed an issue where the Unique Ability icon of the Ultimate Weapon “Shackles of Mortality” was incorrectly displaying the Unique Ability icon of “Frenzied Locomotive.”
• Fixed an issue where the Max Block Gauge was being increased instead of the Max Special Attack Gauge for the Ultimate Weapon “Hypernova.”

(3) Content

• Fixed an issue where the Infiltration Operation “Bastion of Immortality” was not being counted toward the Battle Pass Daily Challenge “Infiltration Master” Mission progress.
• Fixed an issue where External Components dropped from named enemy kills in the 2 types of Fortress Field of Infiltration Operation: Hard at 100% Difficulty were dropping differently compared to 400% Difficulty.

• Fixed an issue where the Void Vessel dungeon would intermittently fail to unlock immediately after completing the “Unidentified Void Vessel Exploration Operation” Quest.
• Fixed an issue where the Infiltration Operation marker would display incorrectly when changing difficulty on the World Map while in the same Battlefield as an Infiltration Operation.

(4) UI & UX

• [Kingston] [Hard] – Fixed an issue where “Low-Carbon Activator” was displayed in the acquisition info for [Kingston Communications Repeater] despite not being acquirable.
• Corrected typos in the Amorphous Material manual guide.
• Fixed an issue where an effect would intermittently appear on the NPC Eckert’s icon when moving maps, regardless of the Special Order Quest changing.

(5) Miscellaneous

• The acquisition message will now be displayed prominently even when a Vulgus Bio Data Chip which is already owned is acquired.

Patch 1.3.33 puts the anniversary event schedule front and center, but a lot of its value sits in the smaller quality-of-life and bug-fix changes. The shop changes also give players a clear runway for the next wave of themed items through July 9.
