War Thunder is celebrating Japan Self-Defense Forces Day with discounted Japanese premium vehicles and a time-limited trophy tied to Japanese battles.
The sale runs from July 1 at 09:00 GMT until July 4 at 09:00 GMT, and it covers the IJN Kiyoshimo and J2M4 Kai in Japan > Bluewater fleet / Aviation > Premium vehicles. The destroyer is listed at 2,440 Golden Eagles, while the fighter costs 1,925 Golden Eagles. Both vehicles are only available during the event window.
To earn the Japan Self-Defense Forces Day trophy, players need to score 3,000 mission points in battles where they used Japanese vehicles at rank III or higher. The reward must be collected manually after the task is complete, and progress shows up in the hangar under Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → Japan Self-Defense Forces Day.
The trophy can award a decal reward, and the notice also says that players who already own the relevant decals will instead get a fallback prize pool that includes Research Point boosters, Silver Lion boosters, universal backups, or one day of Premium account time. The battle requirement works in random battles, with [Assault] mode excluded.
Gaijin has used a similar holiday reward setup before, including a British Armed Forces Day trophy earlier this month, so this one follows a familiar pattern for War Thunder players.
