War Thunder 2.57.0.13 clears up aircraft bugs, map issues, and a launch crash

The update fixed loadout and targeting pod problems, restored several Ground Battles maps, and addressed a crash affecting Intel Arc PCs.

War Thunder’s 2.57.0.13 update landed with fixes spread across aircraft, ground vehicles, missions, the interface, and graphics. It also pushed several maps back into Ground Battles rotation after repairs, while a few others were pulled out again until crash issues are sorted.

The patch leans heavily on bug work. It fixes loadout and targeting pod problems on several aircraft, adjusts a few vehicle descriptions in Protection Analysis, tidies up controller behavior, and clears a launch crash affecting Intel Arc GPUs.

Patch Notes: War Thunder Update 2.57.0.13

These changes focus on stability, map availability, and aircraft weapon behavior, with a few fixes that should clean up the game for both air and ground battles.

Aircraft

  • ☢Su-24M — a bug where the ☢RN-28 bomb would detonate like a conventional bomb and fail to end the battle in Ground Battles has been fixed.

  • J-15T — the RWR name has been corrected to K/RKZ.
  • J-10C — KJ8602A RWR has been replaced with K/RKZ.

  • B-17G-60-VE, B-17G (Israel) — tail turret traverse angles have been increased: horizontal from 20° to 60° in both directions, and vertical from 30° to 45° in both directions. (Report).
  • Rafale (all variants) — a bug where an extra low-resolution thermal imaging mode was present in the targeting pod view has been fixed. (Report). A bug where, in some cases, arresting cables could pass through the tailhook without hooking onto it, or if it did hook, it would attach to a point behind the hook has been fixed.
  • A-7 (all variants) — a bug where damage to the mid-section of the left wing did not damage the fuel tank has been fixed.
  • AMX (all variants) — a bug where in some cases arresting cables could pass through the tailhook without engaging has been fixed.
  • J-22M1A — parameters for M-16D and M80 rockets have been adjusted; placeholder values have been replaced with the correct ones. A bug that caused a text key to appear in the PLAB modification name has been fixed.

  • P-51H-5-NA — a bug where multiple HVAR rockets would launch in succession from a single wing has been fixed. They now launch alternately, left, then right. (Report).

Locations and Missions

  • Alaska (all missions), Epicenter (all missions) — a bug where some buildings could disappear has been fixed. (Report). All missions on these maps have been returned to the Ground Battles rotation.
