War Thunder’s newest screenshot contest puts Heavy Cavalry in the spotlight

Players have until July 3, 2026, to post a fresh in-game shot with #WTscreen230, and six winners will split 300 GE prizes.

War Thunder’s 230th Steam Screenshot Competition is putting Heavy Cavalry front and center. This round asks players to capture one of the new vehicles or maps from the major update and submit a fresh screenshot with #WTscreen230 by July 3, 2026.

The rules are straightforward, but they leave little room for shortcuts. The image has to be the player’s own in-game work, it cannot have appeared in another contest, and the title must contain nothing besides the tag. War Thunder still allows built-in filters, settings, and replay tools, but outside editing software and image enhancers are not allowed. After the deadline, six winners will be picked, with three chosen by community votes and three selected by the judges. Each winner gets 300 GE, and players can only take the community-vote spot once every four screenshot competitions.

Heavy Cavalry is already live, so this contest is really about finding a clean angle on the update’s new hardware and maps. The same post also listed the six winners from the 229th competition, split between community picks and judge selections.
