Team Falcons beat Team Spirit 2-1 on June 20, 2026 in a tense IEM Cologne 2026 Major semifinal, and the result sent the roster to its first Major grand final as an organization.
The reward is a best-of-five against FURIA, who swept Aurora 13-9 and 13-4 to put Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo back in a Cologne Major final for the first time since the event was last played as a Counter-Strike Major in 2016. For Falcons, the matchup now carries a bigger prize than bragging rights. A win would give the organization its first Major title, while Finn “karrigan” Andersen would pick up a second Major trophy and reach his fourth Major final in the last five Majors after only two months on the roster following his FaZe exit.
Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin was the difference against Spirit. The Russian rifler finished the series ahead of Danil “donk” Kryshkovets and kept finding the rounds that mattered most, which is exactly the kind of lift Falcons have been looking for since karrigan arrived. The veteran IGL added a few sharp moments of his own, including an AWP stop on Anubis and several aggressive openings through smoke and window that helped keep Spirit from settling in.
