Tarkov’s next reset is lining up for summer 2026
Battlestate Games now runs PvP wipes on a five- to six-month seasonal cycle, while PvE players can still reset only when they choose.

Escape From Tarkov’s next wipe now looks tied to the game’s seasonal setup, which would place the next PvP reset in summer 2026 if Battlestate Games keeps its current pace.
For more background on the 1.0 shift, this earlier Tarkov wipe update explains why the reset changed after release.
What changed after 1.0
After the full release on November 15, 2025, Tarkov’s wipe system moved into a seasonal model for PvP servers. That means fresh seasons bring new content, then the live servers reset along with them. PvE does not follow that same clock. It stays persistent unless a player chooses to wipe manually.
That new structure makes the timing easier to read than it was before. Battlestate Games said seasons should arrive every five or six months, so the next reset would land around the middle of 2026 if that pattern holds.
The past wipe schedule gives some context, too. The July 9, 2025 wipe lasted 195 days. The December 26, 2024 wipe ran for 128 days, which made it the shortest in the source data. The August 20, 2024 wipe stretched to 236 days, the longest listed there.
How players usually spot a wipe coming
Tarkov players have long watched for pre-wipe events, and Battlestate Games has used them often. Those events have included high-value loot spawns, every boss on the same map, poisoned spawns, traders selling items for almost nothing, special stim injections, and multiple loot airdrops at once. When those events start stacking up, the reset is usually close.
So while there is no exact day on the calendar yet, the current model points toward a summer 2026 wipe window for PvP. PvE players, meanwhile, can keep their progress unless they decide to start over on their own.
