Escape from Tarkov’s Collector Quest May Be Blocked by Its Own Level Requirements

Escape from Tarkov’s Collector task may be asking players to meet two requirements that cannot be reached at the same time. The unlock screen shows a character level requirement of 40 alongside Ragman loyalty level 4, while the player report says Ragman’s fourth loyalty tier requires a minimum character level of 42.
That creates a frustrating progression wall. A player can reach the level 40 requirement shown for Collector, but still be unable to satisfy the Ragman condition if the trader’s loyalty system requires level 42 before granting access to tier 4.
The same screen also includes loyalty checks for Mechanic, Jaeger, and Skier, as well as a Fence reputation requirement. However, the apparent mismatch involving Ragman is the issue drawing attention, since it makes the task’s level 40 gate look premature.
Nothing in the report confirms whether the problem is limited to the task description or affects the actual unlock process. Battlestate Games has not provided a response or fix in the material available here, so the issue remains a player-reported inconsistency rather than a confirmed bug.
[BUG] Collector says it requires lvl 40… but it also requires Loyalty lvl 4 Ragman, which is minimum lvl 42. Absolutely unplayable. Please fix.
