Stick Fight: The Game‘s Steam Workshop is temporarily unavailable after the developers discovered malware in a map uploaded by a user.
The developers said access will return after they review all Workshop items. No reopening date has been announced, leaving the community-created content section closed while that review takes place.
The update was shared in a developers’ Steam news notice. The team has not indicated how long the review will take or whether additional action will follow once it is complete.
Workshop temporarily taken down!
Hello Stick Fighters, we’ve temporarily unpublished the Stick Fight workshop for maps from Steam as we just discovered a map containing malware.
The person who uploaded the malware has been banned, and the map was only up for a few hours. We felt it was safer to disable the workshop on Steam entirely until we can do a proper review of all workshop items so that no one accidentally downloads something malicious.
We’re super sorry to anyone wanting to play or download workshop maps today! We hope to be able to get it back up soon.
