Respawn explains why Apex Legends servers kept falling over last week
Players also received 1 Epic Apex Pack, which can be claimed by logging in within two weeks.

Apex Legends players dealt with a rough stretch of server trouble last week, and Respawn has now laid out what went wrong. The studio also granted everyone 1 Epic Apex Pack as a thank-you, with the claim window open for two weeks after the reward was issued.
According to the post, two separate problems knocked the game offline. One started when Respawn rotated Storm Point out because of persistent crashes on specific devices and swapped in E-District instead. That change did not go smoothly, and the backend kept trying to match players on Storm Point even after the map was removed, which eventually prevented some players from entering games at all.
Respawn said it has already added a new internal process to stop that kind of mismatch from happening again. The studio also traced another outage to a previous performance-monitoring fix that handled invalid data the wrong way. That fix was rolled back, which cleared the issue, and another solution is being worked on for later.
The message did not promise a firm date for the next round of changes, but it did make one thing clear: stability is still a priority while the team keeps investigating and ironing out the rough edges.
