Apex Legends Season 30 Marked Arrives on August 4 With a Bloodhound Rework

Respawn has also planned changes for Rampart, Loba, Valkyrie, Axle, Seer, World's Edge, Energy Weapons, loot sources, Corrupted Attachments, and Ranked in Season 31.

Apex Legends Season 30, titled Marked, will begin on August 4, 2026. The new season will bring a major Bloodhound rework alongside Legend buffs and nerfs, map changes, and updates to the game’s weapon and loot systems. Respawn’s official Marked update page details the changes announced so far. The full patch notes are scheduled for August 3.

What’s coming with Season 30?

Bloodhound is receiving one of the season’s biggest changes. The Legend’s improved Passive will leave a glowing trail behind moving enemies, while White Ravens will have a longer range and can be activated with a quick glance. Bloodhound’s Tactical will show additional snapshot scans after the initial scan ends.

The Ultimate, called Allfather’s Cloak, is also being fully reworked. It will deploy a device that cloaks nearby squadmates and enemies. The effect will not make players fully invisible, but it will last for 12 seconds after they leave the area unless they take damage or fire a weapon. Bloodhound will also receive three new Upgrades: Hidden Sight refreshes the Tactical when the Ultimate is used and hides the scanning pulse while Bloodhound is cloaked; Bird’s Eye lets White Ravens split up and mark two nearby enemies; and True Predator allows Bloodhound to cloak again after firing a weapon.

Respawn tested three different Ultimate concepts before settling on cloaking, according to Senior Technical Designer Devin Weise in an interview with Dot Esports. The team wanted to give Bloodhound a fresh way to start fights without losing the Legend’s tracking-focused identity. Respawn also does not view the change as a direct answer to scan-heavy Legends such as Seer: scans can still indicate that someone is nearby without revealing a full body highlight or providing wall hacks.

Bloodhound’s Passive changes are designed to provide more information about fights and rotations as well. White Ravens can be activated simply by looking at them, while a later Upgrade can split a raven and provide additional information about nearby enemies and possible rotations without revealing its position through a Tactical scan.

Rampart and Loba are receiving buffs. Loba’s Black Market cooldown will fall from 150 seconds to 120 seconds, while her Tactical’s activation time will decrease from 0.6 seconds to 0.4 seconds. Its projectile will move around 30% faster and cover 15% more distance. Rampart will move faster while firing Sheila, her Amped Walls will build faster and withstand more damage, and her Passive will let her progress Locked Hop-Ups 50% faster.

Valkyrie, Axle, and Seer will receive balance changes. Valkyrie’s Tactical missiles will deal less damage and have a trajectory that makes them harder to fire over high cover, while the height of her Ultimate will be reduced by 15%. Her Eye in the Sky Upgrade will reduce through-wall scan distance to 100 meters, while Supersonic’s speed-improvement duration will increase from 2.5 seconds to 3 seconds.

Axle’s Nitro Gates will provide less slide distance, reducing the maximum slide boost from five seconds to three seconds. Her Ultimate will affect Axle and her allies: Axle will take damage, be stunned, and be displaced, while allies will be stunned and displaced without taking damage. Axle will also lose the ability to hold two Ultimate charges. The Automata Upgrade will be replaced by Long Haul, which restores the Tactical’s maximum slide time to five seconds, and the Upgrade choices will be rearranged across Levels 2 and 3. Seer’s turn slow will also become less pronounced.

World’s Edge will feature new and updated points of interest, giving players fresh locations to learn when the season begins. Climatizer will become the home of Bloodhound’s tribe and include East Village architecture alongside a large Longhouse. Survey Camp will become War Camp, an arena-style location built around close fights, while Tree Settlement will add more vertical movement to the map.

Sorting Factory will return as another drop option near Fragment, and Construction stacks will return to Fragment itself. Rampart’s Big Maude will move to a new position above Landslide. The map will also receive an old-god visual theme and an aurora borealis visible in the night sky.

Looting and weapons are changing

Respawn is overhauling Energy Weapons and adding Corrupted Attachments. Energy ammo will leave the loot pool, and Energy weapons will instead regenerate their ammunition slowly while idle. The system will apply across Battle Royale, Mixtape, and Wildcard.

Corrupted Attachments will offer powerful bonuses alongside trade-offs, so players will need to decide whether the extra strength is worth the drawback. Only one can be equipped to a weapon at a time. They will mainly appear in high-tier or limited loot locations, with Trials on World’s Edge, vaults, Icarus’s Bridge, and care packages offering better chances of finding them.

The game will also provide more information about weapon performance. A new Playground tab beneath each weapon category in the lobby will show weapon statistics and explain how attachments change those numbers. New loot cards will provide more information during matches, while hovering over a weapon in the inventory will show its stats and the effects of each attachment. Players who prefer a less detailed interface can continue using Compact UI mode.

Respawn is changing the wider loot distribution while keeping the overall quantity of loot the same. The average quality will decrease, with purple and gold items becoming less common in ordinary points of interest and white and blue equipment appearing more often. The studio plans to make high-tier loot feel rarer and more rewarding to find while spreading stronger equipment across more of the match instead of placing most of the best items in players’ hands early.

Several loot sources will be removed or reworked, including Extended Supply Bins and Weapon Supply Bins, Explosive Holds, loot bin resets, and wildlife loot. The extended supply bins and weapon bins previously gave the Assault and Support classes access to extra loot, and Respawn has confirmed that neither class will receive a replacement benefit at launch. Respawn plans to rebalance the remaining loot sources to reduce the time players spend searching for equipment.

The changes could give Loba’s Passive more opportunities to matter by keeping valuable items relevant throughout more of a match. Respawn is also watching how much high-quality loot enters the pool.

Respawn has also added Ranked updates to the Season 31 roadmap. The studio will continue testing and adjusting the changes during Season 30 before sharing more details later in the season.
