2K announces the release of NBA 2KVR Experience for Sony PlayStation 4, HTC Vive and Samsung Gear VR.
The game is available for all three platforms on 22nd of November, and the retail price is $14,99. Telling by the price, it is not a full-featured basketball title.
It is a collection of mini-games and they are voiced and narrated by NBA 2K17 athlete Paul George. Just like most game developers, 2K is taking a slow approach to the VR technology.
NBA 2KVR modes
NBA 2KVR Experience has a three-point shootout mode, it also has the buzzer beater and timed challenges. You as a player, are able to earn attributes through the attainment of in-game Gatorade boosts. The game has a feel of a high-end mobile experience, and it only takes place in a VR environment.
Anyways, it is nice to see big developers take a chance at VR. If we are going to find out how good the technology can be, we are going to need the best of the best studios equipped with the stuff we need.
This hopefully, is the first step.
