Dying Light 2 Update 1.23 Brings Summer Vibes and UGC Event to Villedor

Techland has just dropped the full details for the Dying Light 2 1.23 patch, which ushers in a summer-themed update set in the city of Villedor. This patch is all about shining a spotlight on player creativity with a special event focused on user-generated content (UGC), alongside a slew of fixes and tweaks across co-op, gameplay, and technical areas.

What makes this update stand out is the four-week UGC event where fans get to try out some pretty wild maps and visual mods. It’s a great way to break the usual routine and celebrate the community’s efforts. Plus, there’s a slick new bundle from the Dying Light 2 x Balatro collaboration that adds some fresh swag to the game.

Dying Light 2 Update 1.23 – Key Highlights

The UGC event is the crown jewel of the patch. It runs from June 26 through July 23 and cycles through a variety of player-made maps and mods every week:

  • June 26 to July 2: LFG, Lunar Heist, Dying Guys
  • July 3 to July 9: Desert Fury, The Intersection, Harran Prison
  • July 10 to July 16: Holy Bullets, Aiden’s Nightmare, Island Marathon
  • July 17 to July 23: Ancient Colosseum, Ruins of Hope, Fish Hunt

And if you’re wondering about that Balatro crossover, it’s delivering a cool new bundle with distinct items for players to snag.
