No matter how you spin it, it always comes down to PC Gaming. PC Gaming is like a GEM that needs to be kept mending, even though some developers have strayed from developing unique gaming experiences, which actually makes me super sad.
Earlier today, Metacritic posted on their X profile the best-reviewed PC Games of all time, and trust me, all of them deserve the attention they’re getting. So, long story short, let’s see which games are the best-reviewed games of all time, below:
1. Disco Elysium: The Final Cut

An RPG with a deep narrative and complex character development, which offers a definitive edition of the critically acclaimed detective story. Players explore the city’s mysteries through a skill system and dialogue choices, which makes it unique and distinct.
2. Half-Life 2

Valve’s first-person shooter that pretty much revolutionized the genre with its storytelling, physics-based gameplay, and characters. “Half-Life 2” will definitely remain a benchmark for quality in and out of the industry.
3. Grand Theft Auto V

Who else, if not Rockstar’s awesome open-world crime epic game that combines a multi-layered narrative with an expansive, living, and “breathing” world. Its take on modern life and wealth of activities make it a standout title in the sandbox genre.
4. Baldur’s Gate 3

The legendary RPG series, released throughout the previous year, brings the world of Dungeons & Dragons to life with stunning visuals, narrative, and unique combat mechanics. Larian Studios has definitely made a game that honors its legacy and sets new heights for the genre itself.

The original game where the the early days of Counter-Strike were born. Despite the fact that we’re talking about Gordon Freeman’s battle against the alien invasion at Black Mesa, the game must be remembered for its Counter-Strike breakthrough.
7. BioShock
Metascore: 96 Release Date: August 21, 2007
Oh, BioShock… Honestly speaking, I think that this game deserves a higher placement, as it is the only first-person game that offers smooth and bug-free gameplay all transcripted via the amazing city of Rapture.
8. Baldur’s Gate 2: Shadows of Amn
Metascore: 95 Release Date: September 24, 2000
Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn is a role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by Interplay Entertainment. This is the amazing continuation of the Baldur’s Gate story, which kind of speaks for itself.
9. Persona 5 Royal

Persona 5 Royal is an improved version of the acclaimed JRPG Persona 5. It’s definitely one of the best turn-based RPGs of all time! This game has top-of-the-line storytelling, amazing and out-of-the-box battle mechanics, and the best music you’ll find in any game!
10. Portal 2
Metascore: 95 Release Date: April 18, 2011
The game that all comes down to, even though it’s 10th on the best-reviewed games list. Portal 2 definitely deserves a medal. If you have a friend who is into puzzlers, trust me and get him to at least try this game. Upon completion, he’ll be the one pleading you to play its predecessor.

I've spent half of my life playing video games, ever since the competitive 1.6 era. Now I am happily married to Margarita Kicevski, and have two beautiful children. My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. After 8 years with futuregamereleases.com, I guess it's time to start anew.
