Break the Chain is Mechanic’s Seasonal-mode task to shoot four transmitters, split between Customs and Woods. It is not an ordinary PvP/PvE quest. Look up at the named structures: these targets are mounted high above the ground, not loose radios to pick up.
Requirements
- Play in Seasonal mode, not ordinary PvP/PvE. This is part of the KORD BREACH Seasonal questline.
- Bring a firearm and an optic that lets you identify the small transmitters on the high structures.
Objectives
- Destroy the transmitter on the factory chimney near the unfinished construction site on Customs
- Destroy the transmitter on the power line tower on Customs
- Destroy the transmitter on top of the mountain on Woods
- Destroy the transmitter on the cell tower on Woods
Customs Transmitters
Find the boiler building chimney near the unfinished construction site. Scan the top of the chimney for the transmitter and shoot the unit itself. For the other Customs target, go toward the electrical tower near the Railroad to Reserve extraction and look up at the transmitter on the power line tower. Check the separate objective after each target so you do not leave one intact.
Woods Transmitters
Find a clear line of sight to the transmitter on the mountain peak and shoot the unit itself. The second Woods unit is on the radio tower at the Scav Bunker Scav extraction. Aim at the mounted transmitter, not the tower’s framework.
Complete the Task
Destroy all four units and finish with Mechanic. There is no recovered transmitter to carry out or hand over. Keep track of the four individual objectives rather than treating the two maps as one target apiece.
