Epic Games has apparently decided to remove the Battle Pass exclusivity right before the long-awaited Season 4. The upcoming season is speculated to be Marvel-themed, and with the removal of the exclusivity right, it means that the Battle Pass may have plenty of collabs, or worst case scenario, none.
This was confirmed earlier today by a known Fortnite leaker, HYPEX, in a post that can be found below:

For those who are unaware, Fortnite’s Battle Royale is one of the primary revenue driver thanks to its content. With the exclusivity out of the way, it may also mean that more items might arrive in just from pure gameplay. Being another Marvel-themed Season.
Season 4 is just around the corner, and it’s expected to launch around August 16. Previously, there have been other leaks related to Season 4, which arrived by the very same leaker.
RUMOR: Fortnite's 2024 Roadmap ALLEGEDLY got leaked (READ THREAD) 😳‼️
• Billie Eilish, Metallica, Karol G & Snoop Dogg
• Apocalypse S3 + Jack Sparrow & Metallica
• Marvel Season + Fantastic 4
• Fortnite OG (Chapter 2 – S1, S2 & S3)
• LEGO Star Wars & Klombo pic.twitter.com/fhSp2vyBqF— HYPEX (@HYPEX) April 19, 2024
If I was to guess, I think that Fortnite Season 4 will introduce plenty of other Collaborations aside from Marvel, because it opens a world of possibilities for both players and developers. Whether it is Marvel or DC superheroes or superstars like Ariana Grande and Travis Scott, the game has had a super successful timeline. Also, removing Exclusivity could also democratize the access to rare and valuable items, which should indeed help players who have missed on epic items from previous seasons.
Until August 16, stay put!
