Xbox X25 Controller Preorders Return at Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, and Xbox

Walmart lists it for $79, and Oct. 20 delivery remains available at Walmart and Best Buy in the US, while Amazon UK offers free delivery for £74.99.

The translucent green Xbox X25 controller is still available the day before its Oct. 20 launch, and buyers in the US and UK have several ways to get one. Listings checked on Oct. 19 showed Oct. 20 delivery at Walmart and Best Buy in the US, while UK options vary by retailer and postcode.

The first preorder wave sold out within minutes, and the controller was unavailable for several weeks before the latest stock wave. The X25 controller is a special edition rather than part of the numbered X25 console, which costs $899.99 and is scheduled to launch Nov. 13.

US delivery options

Walmart lists the controller for $79 with free shipping, and its listing identifies Walmart as the seller and shipper. Best Buy lists it for $79.99 with free shipping. Both retailers showed Oct. 20 arrival on Oct. 19, although Best Buy’s current batch was not available for in-store pickup.

GameStop lists the $79.99 controller with shipping estimated at two to three business days. The Xbox store also lists it for $79.99, with arrival estimated for Oct. 22. Amazon US had not restocked for this wave as of Oct. 19.

UK delivery options

Amazon UK and EE each list the controller for £74.99. Amazon offers free Oct. 20 delivery, while EE quotes free delivery for that date as an estimate.

Currys lists it for £74.99 and offers Oct. 20 delivery for an extra £5.99 on orders placed by 9 p.m. Collection is available too, though most checked areas showed Oct. 21. Argos delivery depends on postcode, with some areas still eligible for Oct. 20 arrival.

Very lists the controller for £74.99. Free standard delivery takes two to four days, while its £5.99 next-day option was showing Oct. 21.

The translucent shell and full-color face buttons give the pad its original Xbox-inspired look, while its familiar Xbox Wireless Controller design remains unchanged. It is sold separately from the more expensive X25 console, making the controller a less costly way to get the anniversary styling.
