The first Xbox X25 preorder wave sold out within minutes, putting the limited-edition console and its matching controller out of reach for many buyers. The console may be nearly impossible to find after launch, but the controller could have a better chance of returning to stores before the November 13 release date.
Microsoft offered the translucent green hardware as part of its 25th Anniversary Collection. The Xbox Series X25 console costs $899.99, or $999 through GameStop, and only 25,000 numbered units are being made. Its matching controller is a special edition rather than another numbered console bundle, which leaves more room for future stock.

The Xbox X25 controller could get more stock
US buyers currently face an out-of-stock notice on the Amazon US listing. The situation is different in the UK, where the Amazon UK listing still shows preorders at £74.99.
That remaining availability makes a later US restock plausible, even though Microsoft has not given buyers a date for one. November 13 is the obvious point to monitor because full sales will begin around the product’s release, but smaller shipments could also appear during the holiday shopping period.
Preorder inventory can change when canceled orders return to retailers or payments fail after the initial order is placed. Those situations may not produce a large shipment, yet they can create brief chances to buy hardware that disappeared during the first wave.
PlayStation’s 30th Anniversary hardware offers another reason not to write off the controller. Its special-edition gamepad returned to stores several times after selling out during preorders, including a restock roughly a year after launch. That history does not confirm Microsoft’s plans, but it shows that a commemorative controller can remain available longer than the limited console released alongside it.
Anyone still chasing the Xbox X25 console should expect every new batch to disappear quickly because of the 25,000-unit cap. Controller shoppers may have better odds, particularly if Microsoft releases more units around November 13 or during the holiday season.
