Xbox is opening pre-orders for its 25th anniversary collection. Microsoft has shared the order schedule, launch date, and pricing in its official announcement.
At the center of the package is the limited-edition XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition console. Its translucent OG Green finish is paired with black details inspired by the original XBOX, while the front carries XBOX 25 branding. Every unit also has its own engraved serial number.
A matching XBOX X25 Special Edition Wireless Controller comes with the collection. It uses the same transparent green design and anniversary branding, creating a hardware pairing that looks ready for a very stylish birthday party.
Every console package also includes a digital download of Halo: Campaign Evolved. The rebuilt campaign launched on July 28, revisiting the story that helped establish the original Xbox and giving the anniversary hardware a full game to match.
When the Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection goes on sale
Pre-orders on Aug. 26 are limited to invited customers. Some of Microsoft’s most dedicated fans will receive an email with a special link to complete their order through the XBOX website.
Everyone else in select markets can begin ordering on Aug. 27 at 7 a.m. PDT through the XBOX Series X page or participating authorized retailers. Availability is limited, so orders will remain open only while supplies last.
The collection will launch on Nov. 13, 2026, just ahead of the original console’s Nov. 15 anniversary. It carries an MSRP of $899.99 USD. Regional prices and availability will differ, so buyers outside the United States should check their local Microsoft Store or an authorized retailer. Microsoft is also limiting purchases to one collection per customer.

The XBOX X25 Special Edition Wireless Controller is available separately, with pre-orders open now in select markets through the official controller page.
The controller will launch on Oct. 20, 2026 for $79.99. It works with XBOX consoles, Windows PCs, iOS devices, and Android devices, making it the easier pickup for players who want the anniversary design without buying the full console collection.
