WWE 2K26, Wildgate, and Polterguys Are Free to Try on Xbox Through August 2

WWE 2K26 and Wildgate are available to all Xbox members, while Polterguys: Possession Party requires an eligible Game Pass membership.

Xbox Free Play Days is offering three different ways to spend the weekend. Microsoft’s Xbox Wire announcement confirmed that WWE 2K26, Wildgate, and Polterguys: Possession Party can be played during the current event, which runs through Sunday, August 2.

The access rules are split between the games. WWE 2K26 and Wildgate are available for all Xbox members to try, with no Game Pass membership required. Polterguys: Possession Party is reserved for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members from Thursday, July 30, through Sunday, August 2.

What You Can Play

WWE 2K26 lets players step into CM Punk’s 2K Showcase, compete with more than 400 WWE Superstars and Legends, and try the game’s new match types. The roster includes names such as The Rock, Triple H, John Cena, Rhea Ripley, Rey Fénix, Rusev, and Blake Monroe. The game is optimized for Xbox Series X|S.

Wildgate is a PvPvE multiplayer shooter with three modes. Artifact Brawl centers on capturing the Artifact and escaping through the Wildgate, while rival crews can destroy one another’s ships. Fleet Battle puts two teams of up to 12 players against each other, and Treasure Hunt focuses on salvaging loot and getting out alive. Wildgate supports Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Play Anywhere.

Polterguys: Possession Party turns a haunted playground into an eight-player brawl. Players control mischievous ghosts, possess everyday objects to gain powers, avoid a monster, and use traps and power-ups against their friends. The game is optimized for Xbox Series X|S and supports Smart Delivery.

How to Join the Free Play Days Event

Players can find each game through its individual Xbox Store page and install it after signing in. On Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles, the Free Play Days collection is available through the Store’s Subscriptions tab.

Anyone who buys a game after trying it can keep the Gamerscore and achievements earned during the event. Discounts and availability can vary by title and region, so the price shown in the store may differ depending on location.
